Culturally, it is considered inappropriate for an elder/parent of the child to discuss anything to do with sex or sexual activities, but Hellen sees the need for change in the area. Even if sex education involves topics like puberty, feelings, adolescence, relationships and communication, among others, the taboo of not talking openly about these is letting many young people make bad decisions.
