Those who are being helped by their relatives in Australia, Canada, and the USA are the one trying their best to help the rest live off streets. Alier who is the President of Students is calling for the help from the Government if those students who are not being helped can be transported back to South Sudan because being in India is not good. Akoy who is living with Alier shared a story of some South Sudanese students sleeping on top of the buildings with the flat floor because they cant afford to rent anymore. 17 July 2016 -South Sudanese students who went to India for further studies before the war are now dropping out of universities because many of them cannot afford to pay due to the war two years old civil war. In Pune City according to the president of South Sudanese student Association Alier Deng Leek, there are about 128 students from all regions of South Sudan studying there. Many of them went to India under the sponsorship of their families, government of relatives abroad. Those whose fees and accommodation were provided by parents in South Sudan now cant afford to pay and this has created homelessness among the students.
