Views of the electors during South Sudanese community's election in NSW
The community of South Sudanese Association in NSW conducted election on Saturday 7 December 2019. There were three contestants fighting for the position of Chairperson. Many voters can to cast their secret ballet paper and many believe that the election was free and transparent.
The electors on this story stressed that the notion of democratic practice must prevail. One contestant stated that if 100 to 200 people have gathered to exercise their democratic right then the election results must be accepted and respected by incoming and outgoing leaders.
