Walk in Honour is a misssion accomplished in Alice Springs

Deng Garang Bul has finally reached Alice Springs after 25 days of intensive walk from Darwin to Alice Springs. This journey was not easy but he did it for Charity “Ihope”. The distance he has to walked was 1500 kilometers. “I have walked for 25 days and for about 6 hours and the journey was not easy because of weather, cars or trucks”. Deng said. “I was struggling for the first few days since I had to climbed and slopped down the mountains and my feet were swollen and cannot fit on the shoes because of the heat”, he stated. He further explained that the reception he has received was very overwhelming and encouraging. He said that he got offer free meals and accommodation with his camera and the driver. Catholic care, Alice Springs branch has set up a ribbon to be cut to mark his arrival to town. He was also received by youths and local Medias in the area.
