Chlamydia threatens koalas on Australia's east coast. In an effort to save the population, a trial has started to vaccinate the marsupials with a vaccine developed by the University of the Sunshine Coast. Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital in Beerwah (QLD) is participating in the trial, hoping to vaccinate about 400 koalas over the next 12 to 18 months. We spoke to Amber Gillett, veterinarian at the Wildlife Hospital.
