Australians urged to check their smoke alarms as the cold weather sets in

The Country Fire Authority and Fire Rescue Victoria have launched a campaign encouraging people to install smoke alarms in sleeping areas. Data shows currently only 17% of people have smoke alarms in their bedrooms in Victoria. But alarms could be the difference between life and death.
