Dutch chemical engineer on expedition with Australian R.V. Investigator

Karel Bakker, chemical engineer at the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research, is one of the international researchers on board the R.V. Investigator. The Australian research vessel is currently on an expedition in the Southern Ocean. The timing of the trip is remarkable, as the weather in the Antarctic Ocean can very rough at this time of the year. On Friday, Karel explained what is being investigated during this expedition.
