The ATO expects your income tax return soon, but “Don't file a return too quickly”.

The new financial year started on July 1, so it's time to file your income tax return. Marlena Smit from Taxably Accountants, an expert in both Australian and Dutch tax law, says it is wise to wait a while before filing your return. She also explains what the ATO's focus points are this year, and that the Dutch Belastingdienst focuses on homeowners who live overseas.
