'The British were described as Australia's only way to survive'

We have talked about migration many times with historian Ingeborg van Teeseling. Often from regions that are far from Australia, such as the Balkans, Asia and the Netherlands. But for a long time, most of the migrants came from Britain. The “Bring out a Briton” scheme was set up especially for them.
