Deze maand is het 75 jaar geleden dat de eerste grote groep niet-witte vluchtelingen Australië binnenkwam. Die groep staat nu bekend onder de fascinerende naam de ‘Beautiful Balts’. Historicus Ingeborg van Teeseling vertelt onder meer waar deze term vandaan komt.
