The Kom theatre performed  a play called 'The blood roses' based on a book by the same name by Anneli Kanto. The play is about the tragic events in 1918 and the message of the play is still current.

The institution of the public sauna continues to increase in popularity. There is a new one opening in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki. The sauna is changing its traditional function, no longer just a place for bathing but also a place where one can relax and socialise. This is the fifth such sauna opening in Helsinki since 2010.
