Dr. Alsindy, said that he was able to access a numbers of documents at the United Nations archive in Geneva. He added :” I was surprised when I found that some of the documents were written in Assyria and I found some of them signed by Agha Petros himself.”
The researcher emphasized that there are approximately 250,000 documents in various languages concerning our nation during the early twentieth century.
He explained that the book is composed of three chapters, the first deals with documents about Agha Petros and Malik Qambar, and their efforts in to find a solution to the fate of the Assyrians as Britain was ending the mandate for Iraq.
He added that he investigated the hotel where some members of the Assyrian delegation got to the UN meeting.
As for the second chapter, it deals with a British document written against Agha Petros. The third chapter dealt with the details of the project that Agha Petros and Malik Qambar had submitted to the League of Nations.
Finaly Alsindy said that there was a truth found that Agha Petros was a diplomatic man of the highest order, as he was a military commander. And added :”I think it is important to study the documents of our history that have gained importance in their time, and we should be proud of them today”.
