Muslims in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq spent their Eid holiday staying home because they were not allowed to roam and make visits.

Nassem Sadiq reported from Duhok saying Some residents showed their dissatisfaction, and they burned their new clothes in order to show their anger.

The government said that these measures are to limit the spread of the virus of COVID-19.  Once the holidays are over, some stores will reopen and provide their services.
