Beauty and education: Miss Assyria in Miss Global International contest

Miss Shamiran Khoshaba is an Assyrian from Melbourne. She is preparing to travel to Mexico early January 2020 to participate as a contestant in the Miss Global Pageant. She told SBS that she is very excited and enthusiastic to be part of this international event as she will introduce the Assyrian name to the international stage. Miss Khoshaba has a master degree in community development and she works with refugees and migrants in Melbourne-Victoria. In 2015, she represented Iraq in an event in China about empowering women around the world. She has been involved with Assyrian community in many occasions and events.
