Dr Jane Ahlstrand: “ Being a participant in NAILA was possibly the most positive experience in my life”

Participating in the National Australia Indonesia Language Awards (NAILA) has many benefits even if eventually you are not an awardee. Some of those benefits can be life-changing.

Dr Jane Ahlstrand is in the unique position of not only being a NAILA awardee but more recently she was a NAILA judge. Jane explains how the camaraderie of NAILA and the whole process of preparing to participate in NAILA have been invaluable.
