He said Hume residents are from different ethnic backgrounds, and 35 percent of them were born outside Australia and speak 150 languages. Our first job will be to provide services for all of them to live happily together in Hume city.
He stressed that our community in particular needs services, especially for the elderly who need help to obtain, for example, Australian citizenship because of their lack of language. I will also ask the council to allocate places for their entertainment.
One of his ideas in helping families who have children is that the council allocates money to hold short courses for mothers who stay at home to take care of their children, prepare them to enter the labor market after the child reaches the age of seven.
Mr. Imad added that the rent in the city halls is high. He will work as hard as he can to make them more affordable to rent, for the benefit of non-profit organizations and institutions.
