Mai is a Japanese singer and lyricist. She made her debut at the age of 4, singing Nausicäa Requiem for the Studio Ghibli film Nausicäa of the Valley of the Wind. Since then, she has sung a number of songs, not just for her father's work, but also for other films, TV and commercials.
Mai is returning to Australia next month with backing chorus and a piano accompanist.
