Representatives of Assyrian, Greek and Armenian communities met with federal parliamentarians in Canberra asking them to sign a document asserting their support of a motion to be passed in the Australian parliament about the Genocide that took place during the FWW,

Deputy Secretary General of Assyrian Universal Alliance Mr Hermiz Shahen talked about the aims and objectives of this Joint Justice Initiative. He said they met many Parliamentarian and discussed this initiative with them and many signed the document. Many other parliamentarian promise to take the documents to their parties to discuss it further.  Mr Shahen also talked about the Akito Festival which will take place on Sunday 29th March this year. when asked why does it take so long for speeches to be delivered and many times they take more than two hours from the program? Mr Shahen said it is worth it, they are given that much time because all those politicians talk about the Assyrian cause and issues and we need their support and understanding.
