Motimaru Dance Company has been based in Berlin, Germany since 2010.  Both Motoya and Tiziana studied Butoh, a form of Japanese dance theatre, in Tokyo.

Motoya and Tiziana performed their own pieces called Twilight and Mut in May and June in Sydney as an Australian premiere.  They also held dance workshops.  Motimaru Dance Company is experimenting with creating a new dance method which is based on Butoh but different to any genre.

Motoya and Tiziana tell us how they started studying Butoh and explain to us their style of dance.
