New book “Aramaic Language Grammar”

Source: Sami Desho

Deacon Sami Desho released a book entitled "Aramaic Language Grammar" on July 2020 in Sydney. The book contains fifty chapters dealing with most of the Aramaic grammar materials.

Mr. Desho ( the Author) said he named the language “Aramaic” because the book was written in the classical language that spawned many other languages. It is the same language that we call today with different and beautiful names, we use these names among ourselves, but in scientific forums and universities, it is the Aramaic or Syriac language.
The author asserted that he benefited in his book from major grammatical authors who usually follow traditional methods of presenting their materials. He added that he benefited a lot from contemporary writers, especially Father Albert Abouna, who adopted an academic approach in his grammar.
He said that he included his writing of grammatical materials that most grammar books lack and tried to facilitate some difficult-to-understand problems and complications, especially the vowels problem, but there are many problems that need other books to study and analyze through their chronological development.
The book will benefit those fluent in reading and writing to deepen their knowledge and understanding language grammar.

He added, “The materials of this book can be taught more easily if the teacher is in front of the students in the classroom where teacher can explain and answer the student’s questions.”
