Barkindji man Kent Morris is one of 26 contemporary Melbournian artists featured in UPTOWN, Australia’s largest outdoor art exhibition, an event that's seeking to rejuvenate the CBD and help Melburnians rediscover their city after the lockdown.

Talking to NITV Radio, Kent Morris explained that his artwork is an invitation to the world of Aboriginal history, culture and knowledge in the contemporary Australian landscape, despite the political and ecological interventions.

“You are never alone on Country,” Kent Morris said.

As an artist, curator and mentor Kent Morris spends a lot of time on country, looking for inspiration, for the right angle and the perfect moment to capture on camera.

In his body of work, he comments on current affairs, our relationship with nature and the legacy of his People.
