He is the last standing candidate. He managed to demonstrate ability in journalism, team work and understanding of radio work.
Tighlat Rommel talks to SBS about why he applied for the job and in what way he can contribute to the Assyrian program.
Tighlat arrived to Australia as a teenager four years ago as a refugee who lived with his parents in Jordan. Since his arrival, he focused on studding and finishing high school. Now he is in his second year in University, studding a double degrees, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science
When asked about being so young yet he is fluent in English and Assyrian, Mr Rommel thanked his parents for giving him all the opportunities when he was a child in going to Assyrian school in Nohadra, northern Iraq and also studding English at other schools.
He said that he gained a lot of experience by working with Rosh24, an Assyrian online website that deals with political and social issues of Assyrians around the world.
