A large art auction at Hagelstam's auction house had several hundred works for sale, among them 20 works by Timo Uotila's father, Gunnar Uotila. There were also works by other well known sculptors, such as Eila HiItunen and Laila Pullinen. Among the paintings, a large work by Reidar Särestöniemi attracted considerable interest and sold for €85,000. On offer also work by important designers; their ceramics and furniture fetched higher than expected prices.
