Lisa Pham, founder and author of the food and travel blog Weekend Food Escapes is one of invitees attended the opening of the culinary journey on 16 August. She claims to quite enjoy the menu presented.

"Full of flavours.. lots of spices which I really enjoy.. and something a bit different on the Sydney food scene," she says.

"I think Sydney food scenes are dominated by a lot of different Asian cuisines and Indonesian or Balinese food probably less common in Sydney.

"I think the food tonight is a bit of fusion food. there is a mix of cuisines.. mixing with fresh seafood and probably buffet favourites mixed in with some Indonesian dishes. There's beautiful decorations and the dancers and musicians are always add to the atmosphere though."

"I think Sydneysyders like a bit of spice. Though like it's been tamed down for the customers but hopefully that will inspire them to check out more Indonesian restaurants in Sydney scene.
