Those living in NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and ACT will be moving their clocks forward on October 3, Sunday at 2am.

For those living in affected states, this means an hour less sleep on Sunday and longer days until daylight savings end next year, 3 April.

You need not worry if you own smartphones and digital devices as these will adjust automatically to factor in the change in time. Analog clocks and watches will still need to be adjusted manually.

Queensland, Northern Territory, and Western Australia are not affected as they don’t observe daylight saving time.
