President Rodrigo Duterte kissed a Filipina worker in front of an audience during a gathering with the Filipino community in Seoul, South Korea.

Two women went up on stage and was told by the President to share a book.

The president gave one of the women a peck on the cheek, but he signalled the other woman that he wanted a kiss on the lips.

"Are you single? You're not separated? But can you tell him that this is just a joke?," Duterte was heard telling the woman before kissing her on the lips and embracing her afterward.

Netizens expressed their disgust on Twitter.
Women’s group Gabriela described the kiss as “disgusting theatrics of a misogynist president."
The President’s supporters came to his defense and the Palace said “it’s a playful act accepted in Filipino culture.”
The woman in the video said, "there was no malice."
