Google is no longer this year's most popular website

In a new tech report released by Cloudfare, TikTok beat Google as the most popular site for 2021.

In a new tech report by web security company Cloudfare, TikTok beat all others to become 2021's most popular wesbite.

September saw the app hit 1 billion monthly active global users.

Last year's favourite site was Google; however Cloudfare found that the video-centric social media platform had a bit of "help" from the pandemic to get it to the top spot.

Google comes a close second, Facebook takes the top three spot, followed by Microsost and Apple.

Amazon was ranked sixth, Netflix seventh, YouTube eighth, Twitter ninth and Whatsapp completes the top 10.
