Filipino riddles, also known as "bugtong," consist of two-liner statements, questions or phrases that has double or hidden meaning. The description may seem straightforward, but sometimes, you need to think outside of the box to solve them.
Before mobile apps and video games became popular, "bugtong" used to be a form of contest of wit and skill. It is usually played as a guessing game where one would start with the phrase "Bugtong, Bugtong..." before saying the riddle.
