On Valentine's day, these women are dancing and rising up against any kinds of violations and exploitation against women.

Instead of celebrating this day with flowers and chocolates, women advocates and supporters in Sydney are joining the world in the campaign One Billion Rising which aims to end violations and exploitation against women.

With the song 'Break the Chain and 'Isang Bilyong Babae, Babangon', people are dancing in Parramatta, Bankstown and Campsie  as led by the Immigrant Women's SpeakOut Association, Asian Women at Work Inc., Philippine Australian Community Services Inc., Migrante Australia and other support group.

Different culture in solidarity with the aim to rise up against violence





Showing their support to the campaign One Billion Rising, the Bankstown train station has accommodating the participants to do the dancing at the South Terrace of the station in Bankstown. Officials of the station gave a quick statement here.

Also, rising up against violence to women are the members of the Chinese and Vietnamese communities.
