Customers are advised to boil their water first before drinking their tap water, washing and preparing food, brushing teeth or making ice.
The alert is in place to minimise any risk to public health as contaminated water may cause gastro-like symptoms if consumed. Symptoms may include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, occasional muscle aches or headache, and low-grade fever.
