20,000 more home care packages are to be available to vulnerable older Australians after the federal government was forced to make a deal with the Coalition.

The Albanese Labor government announced an agreement had been reached with the Coalition for changes to its aged care reform policy.
20,000 additional Home Care Packages will be released between now and the end of October.
As of March 31, over 87,000 were on the waiting list for a home care package.
