Australia to tighten gun laws after Bondi beach terror attack

Australia, long regarded as a model for strict gun control, is reviewing and strengthening its firearm regulations following the deadly Bondi beach terror attack.

Firearms laws are managed by each state and territory.
While Australia is known for strict gun control, experts and advocates note gaps in the current system that need addressing to avoid future incidents.
In response, the National Cabinet has decided to tighten gun laws to prevent similar tragedies.
The move to strengthen regulations has support from the Prime Minister and state leaders.
