'Australians are big spenders': Tourism boom benefits various sectors in the Philippines

The Philippine Tourism Attaché Ms. Purificacion S. Molintas expressed her delight over the continuous increase in the number of Australian tourists visiting the Philippines.

Australia ranked third among the largest sources of tourists in the Philippines, following South Korea and the United States, in January 2025. The Department of Tourism highlighted that the increase in tourists significantly contributes to the tourism sector’s revenue, which in turn supports various industries, including hotel accommodations, transportation, dining, and local businesses.
