Ballarat's unique intercultural program helps foster stronger ties and better understanding among the various cultures and groups residing in the city.
The city's Cultural Diversity Strategy helps overcome racism and demonstrate the benefits of a diverse community. It was nominated for the 2018 Human Rights Award (Government Award).
The City of Ballarat has ten Multicultural Ambassadors with Rose Boquida currently serving as the Filipino Ambassador.
