Promising and bright future for Filipino animators is being predicted by the Animation Council of the Philippines (ACPI) through its Executive Director Rose Gonzales, as the International Animation Day is being celebrated today, 28th October. Thirty years ago, Filipino animators started from being outsource animation studios contracted by International studios such as Burbank Animation and the work has grown to be well known, such as The Little Mermaid, Tom and Jerry, and Finding Nemo.

And now, ACPI aims to be able to create original Filipino content to showcase Filipino stories that will hopefully go on to international markets.
