Broad opportunities in STEM, encourage women to take up STEM courses

There is a very wide opportunity waiting in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), but very few women are pursuing professions associated with it. Image: Yami Bautista at the SBS Studios in Sydney (SBS Filipino)


A PhD student in Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney, Yami Bautista promotes and encourages Filipinos, particularly women, to take up courses in STEM and enter into professions relating to it.

 

She shares how to successfully finish such courses and aim to inspire women to take up these courses as she formed the group Filipina Women in STEM.
