First time entrepreneur Roxan Yap- Doran built her kiosk selling takeaway coffee and Filipino fusion food along Elizabeth Quay in Perth.

  • Based on Statista, the food industry is forecast to grow by 4.62% (2025- 2029) resulting in a market volume of US $115.70 bn in 2029.
  • With support from her husband, Yap-Doran established her business 'Flavaz' in December 2023.
  • Starting out as a Filipino grill, Yap-Doran switched the concept to Filipino Fusion to make way for more familiar fare such as spring rolls (or 'lumpia') in vegetable, beef and pork .
