Upcoming concert to showcase community talent and help performers overcome performance anxiety

The upcoming concert, Celebrating Voices, will highlight the growth, courage in overcoming stage fright, and the unique talents of multicultural performers.

Organised by music teacher Nhess Weber, the concert aims to showcase the diverse voices of students, most of whom are performing for the first time. She hopes to teach students how to overcome stage fright while helping them develop their talent in singing.
For 16-year-old Krystelle Macasero, music has always been a central part of her life. Growing up surrounded by music, her parents were always supportive of her musical pursuits, investing in her singing lessons and choir opportunities.
Research indicates that performance anxiety or "stage fright" is a common experience, affecting a significant portion of the population, with some studies suggesting that around 70-80% of performers experience some level of anxiety before a performance.
