"Extreme statelessness" case comes before court

A complex legal case involving what the United Nations has termed an "extreme example of statelessness” is now before Australia's High Court.


Said Imasi  has been held in Australian detention since 2010.

Lawyers acting on behalf of Mr Imasi hope they can use his case to challenge a landmark High Court ruling they say helps keep stateless people in Australian detention indefinitely.
