Fears for continued interest rates hike

As was widely expected, the Reserve Bank has lifted interest rates again.


Highlights
  • The official cash rate has gone up 50 basis points, from 0.85 per cent to 1.35 per cent
  • This is unlikely to be the last interest rate rise this year
  • Some analysts predict the official cash rate will be 2.5 per cent by year's end
