Mexico became the first team to reach the knockout phase of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ after defeating Korea Republic on Day 8, while Canada made history with a record 6-0 win over Qatar. Switzerland strengthened their position with a 4-1 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
