She is a Papua New Guinean-born Australian taking on the world in soul music.
She has performed at festivals in the United States and Britain and tops the charts in youth radio in Australia.
SBS spoke with Ngaiire as part of the First Day series, where we follow migrants and refugees who have made a difference to Australia's migrant communities, starting from day one.
