In Western Australia’s evolving live entertainment landscape, multicultural audiences are playing an increasingly influential role in shaping what appears on stage. A Filipino concert producer in the state, whose team was chosen to help promote the first Michael Learns to Rock concert in Perth, says delivering major live shows comes with significant challenges, but remains vital for both the entertainment industry and multicultural communities that strongly support live music.

Key Points
  • Arvin Laurio, of Perth-based Strictly Epic Studio, said the team feels both pride and gratitude each time artists trust them to produce concerts in the state, whether OPM performers or international acts. Planning often involves months of coordination, from securing venues and managing technical production requirements to handling travel logistics and tight timelines.
  • Filipino audiences, in particular, have long been known for their strong support of live music, especially for OPM acts and international artists popular across Asia.
  • Danish soft-rock band Michael Learns To Rock (MLTR) is set to perform in Australia for the first time from 11-15 February 2026 as part of their "Take Us To Your Heart" world tour. The group, known for hits like "25 Minutes," "Sleeping Child," and "Take Me to Your Heart," will bring their melodic pop sound to fans across the country.
