Heat, fire dangers to sweep across Australia's south

The Bureau of Meteorology is warning of elevated fire dangers moving into south-eastern Australia over the weekend. (Jan 6-7)


A heatwave is set to send temperatures soaring across Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and parts of New South Wales.

Western Australia has experienced the heatwave already yesterday (Friday) and the weather system is expected to push it eastward across the lower part of the country.
