The family of Benjie de Ubago had migrated to Sydney to escape the impending martial law in the early '70s, but she returned four years later to Manila to finish her university degree. More than the degree, Benjie was given a once -in-a-lifetime opportunity to work, where else? -- at Malacañan Palace, the very seat of martial law power. In Malacañang, together with two other idealistic newly-graduates, she worked for more than a year, earning colourful and unforgettable memories.

Benjie, now a respectable communications person in the community, and one of her colleagues, share her their adventurous and riveting stories in "When in Doubt, Salute: Surviving martial law in Malacañang"
