- Her Aboriginal and Filipino heritage serves as the heartbeat and inspiration behind every song she writes.
As a child, Anindilyakwa and Filipino-Visayan singer Emily Wurramara found her first stage before her family, whose love for music sparked the passion that would one day lead her into the industry.
I think singing started really from my father and also my mother's side. My father being a Filipino man, we have our karaoke parties and so one day I got up and my lola said, that I was a nice singer. And I think that kind of just kicked in the energy for me wanting to become a singer.Emily Wurramara, proud Aboriginal Australian-Filipino singer-songwriter
