Along with its music, rhyme, rhythmic speech and street vernacular, messages of life's struggles and trials are encrypted in many rap songs.
Oftentimes this holds true for numerous rap song lyrics written by Filipino rappers even for the new ones like Sydney-based rapper Klyde.
He shares how he was inspired by his brothers back in the Philippines as he listened to their rhythmic singing narrating stories of everyday people's struggles.
Rapper Klyde is one of the main front-acts performing at Gloc- 9 and Shantidope's show in Sydney this 3rd of August at The Metro Theatre.
