Many OFWs return home as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic

Many Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) have returned home and continue to return home as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic


DFA says there are around 1,114 cases of COVID-19 positive OFWs


  •  All returning OFWs undergo medical tests upon arrival
  • Everyone is required to undergo 14 quarantine  
  • 159 OFWs have died from COVID-19 while 295 have recovered      

 

'While numbers of COVID-19 positive patients continue to increase, the rate of infection has slowed down' says Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque
