Aiming to strengthen its camaraderie, for the first time in three years, the Filipino community in Riverland, South Australia will be celebrating the Philippine Independence Day commemoration with its first-ever leadership.
Though the community located about three hours north east of Adelaide, has a strong sense of community, it has only set up its officers early this year with the aim to further amplify its memberships and community engagements.
Riverland Filipino community president Anne Cabucos shares more about the group's vision and celebration this 16 June.
