New laws to target dowry abuse as extent of dowry abuse revealed

The Victorian Government is preparing legislation that will target unscrupulous husbands extorting dowry money from the families of their wives.

As  this report shows, the move coincides with a new report revealing the extent of domestic abuse suffered by migrant women.
